In Memory of my dear friend, Gina Offield (1954 - 2012)
Gina Offield left this earth on January 5, 2012, after being stricken with an inoperable brain tumor. Her absence leaves an aching void in the hearts of all who knew her. We miss her wit, her humor, her kindness and her strength. Gina was always willing to help others, always upbeat and cheerful. Whether bringing her colorful horses to a child's birthday party to give pony rides, driving her team of grey and white Pinto Percherons in a parade, trail riding or showing her beloved Indian Pony, Joaquin, Gina always put others first. She was a wonderful friend, a hard worker, a creative artist, and gifted horsewoman. Gina is also a devoted Christian, and I look forward to meeting her again, in God's Kingdom. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace; may light perpetual shine upon them.
Kichi Indian Horse Club Schooling Show 2011
This fun group rides and promotes Indian Horses in northeast Texas. My friend, Gina Offield, was one of the founding members. Last summer, Gina organized a schooling show, to help club members prepare for the Indian Horse National Championships, which were held in Marshall, Texas, last September. Everyone had a good time, and those who attended the National event did well. All the photos on this page were taken during the schooling show. More photos from the show may be found at the website for Kichi Indian Horse Club:
Gina's legacy will live on in the many young equestrians she encouraged and taught safe, effective riding skills. Go in a good way, my friend. Happy trails!
